How to use the app

Cashmonki (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS mobile application (the “App”).


Our Privacy Promise: Your financial data is sensitive. Cashmonki is designed with a privacy-first approach, prioritizing on-device storage, minimal data sharing, and transparent data practices.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Cashmonki (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. Description of the Service

Cashmonki is a personal finance app that allows users to:

  • Track expenses and income

  • Scan receipts using AI

  • Manage transaction categories and notes

  • Organize multiple wallets or accounts

  • Use multi-currency features

  • Access premium features through subscriptions


Cashmonki is not a financial advisor, banking service, or accounting service. All insights and summaries are for informational purposes only.

3. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 13 years old

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into agreements

  • Use the App in compliance with applicable laws


If you are under 18, you may only use the App under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account through Firebase Authentication using your email address.


You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials

  • Ensuring the information you provide is accurate

  • Any activity that occurs under your account


We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

5. Local Data Storage

Cashmonki uses a privacy-first, local-first storage model:

  • All financial and transaction data is stored on your device unless you enable optional cloud sync.

  • You are responsible for securing your device and backups.

  • Deleting the App may delete local data unless exported.

6. AI Receipt Scanning

Cashmonki uses AI technology via OpenRouter and secure backend processing to extract data from receipt images.


By using this feature, you agree that:

  • Receipt images are transmitted securely for temporary processing

  • Images are not permanently stored by AI providers

  • Only receipt content is analyzed (no personal identifiers included in requests)


This feature is optional.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features are available only through a paid subscription (“Cashmonki Pro”), managed through:

  • Apple’s in-app purchase system

  • RevenueCat for subscription status and entitlement tracking


When you subscribe:

  • Charges are billed to your Apple ID

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled

  • You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID settings


Cashmonki does not process or store your payment information.

All subscription fees are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for illegal or fraudulent activity

  • Reverse engineer, modify, or copy the App

  • Interfere with network security or service stability

  • Upload harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content


Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

9. Intellectual Property

All content in Cashmonki—including the design, features, graphics, text, and software—is owned by Rosebud Studio.


You may not:

  • Copy

  • Distribute

  • Modify

  • Sell

  • Reuse code or UI assets

without written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Cashmonki is provided “as is” and “as available.”


We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted

  • Receipt scanning will always produce accurate results

  • Insights will be suitable for financial, tax, or accounting purposes


Use the App at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cashmonki and its developers are not liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Financial losses or inaccuracies

  • Damages resulting from improper use of the App

  • Inaccurate AI-generated transaction data

  • Device issues, loss, theft, or unauthorized access


Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the App.

12. Data Deletion and Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time within the App or by contacting support.

Upon account deletion:

  • Cloud-stored data will be permanently deleted

  • Subscription status will be removed

  • Local device data must be deleted manually by removing or resetting the App


We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

13. External Links and Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services such as:

  • Firebase Authentication

  • Firebase Firestore

  • RevenueCat

  • OpenRouter AI


We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party providers.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Significant changes will be communicated through:

  • In-app notifications

  • Updating the “Last Updated” date

  • Posting revised Terms within the App


Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
